Short Haircuts And Color – all right so we are good on the cutnow we are going to do the colora balayage color because she has some pretty short hair on the backthis is going to be around her face and then you want to to it a little bit of an ombre in the ends right?yes so we will bring a few of the pieces into the back that hang over the top but it’s going to be really like a sunkissed look anything back here so if you were to take some hairpieces & like paint them down here in this stuff it would look like polka dots so that’swhy you have to make sure that you don’t do anything on hair that’s on the sides and the backof the head that’s short enough to actually see the shape of where you are putting the coloror you get a leopard print spot so make sure whatever you do you’re making sure that you’re puttingit over that it’ll go from the top and lay over it to shadow it in and highlight it a little bit alright so now we’re going to take thecolor are you ready for this so i’m mixing up the framesiwe are using 20 volume developer and that’s what this stuff is so awesome forokay so i’m using i’m going to do 4 strips on this on the bottomof the bowl so each strip to 10 millilitersso we are going to do 40 and this should give us up to five levels of lift and then we are gonna be toning and we are going to be using this 9B Shades EQ to tone it when we are done i’m going to mix this up until it’s creamy okay so when you’re doing this it’s really just like painting hair You are going to have to look where the hair is fallingit’s nice to have the hair clean and styled and parted where they usually do it so you know where the highlights are going to fall when you are doing thisyou need to wear gloves because you’re not using foils oranything it’s just the paintbrush and your hands and I need some clips I’m gonna go ahead and start right hereon the front side and i’ll take a diagonal back section and pin that upso make sure you have a towel on hand because you’ll be wiping your hand and cleaning your hands inbetween applications of the balayage color pretty much what I do with this i’m going to take a section of hair about this wideit’s about three maybe three-and-a-half inchesand i’m going to take the brush and you make sure the brush hasquite a bit of color on it it needs to be thick enough when you paint it down it gets a nice strip on itbut not too thick where it’s dripping down onto the person I do one by the face and then a shorter one and then anotherone that’s a little bit higher this section will probably have three lines then i’ll paint it downinto the end to make it ombre type highlightsso i’m going to take the comb comb out that sectionand they can be pretty thick you don’t want this to be thinbecause it needs to have hair underneath it to support that color that you are doingand make sure you have quite a bit of color on your brush and paint that first stripe down get a little bit more color and then another one then on the last one that’s when i bring it overthen on the ends I paint it all down and feather it down from where the pieces started and make sure both sides are saturated this is really fun it looks like little girls when they play in the sunthey get those little highlights that everyone wantswipe your hands you don’t want to get blobs of the lightener on the hair you don’t want coloredthat will be bad news it will lighten up pretty quick I don’t use foils for thisbecause I think that the hair is thick enough in the sections that itlays on top and this doesn’t swell like I said i’ll leave this piece out and do it separatelyso here’s my next section i’ll do the same type of thing just grab a piece on the endand you can do more than three you can do four or five she wants to concentrate it by her face more than the back make sure it goes all the way down grab her front section and do the same thingand pay attention to where her part is layingshe already has a little bit that she did herself here I don’t really need to lighten that againi’ll do one right by it to give a little bit more it’s important to do these at different levels you don’t want to look like they just have regrowth this is a pretty quick processyou do have to be careful where you put it that you are not getting it on their skin letting it go too deep into the hair to where it’s getting squishedit does process pretty quick so it’s not I don’t think it is as time consuming as foiling and not as much upkeep eitherbecause when this starts to grow out it’s really soft lines i’ll do this piece now okay we are up to the top part of her head this one is really important because she is going to see it all the time you need to keep the tension on this pretty tight so that you don’t lose any of the pieces right around her facethen do a little bit lower then in the middle then a higher one in the back the reason why I left the back outis because i’m needing to pin the sides up and I don’t want it to be squishing into that color while i’m working back there okay so now i’m going to do some in the back i’m going to take some sections and pull them to the side and get them out of the way it helps if the color is on the tip of the brush alright we are going to let this process for a little while an check it probably fifteen minutesit’s already starting to go you can see in the front hereso this has been processing for 15 minutesand i’m going to take a I took this little piece of hair and sprayed it off to check the colorand always remember.

hair looks a darker when it’s wet but i’m taking it up here and comparing it to her roots so it’s pretty lightand i think that’s a good tone so we’ll rinse it out alright so I rinsed her outwashed her then I mixed up the 9B with the color processing solutionand poured it over her wet hair I squeezed it out and poured it over the top of it and worked it inthis is going to take out anything that’s really brassy and orangeand bring it down to a yellow toneso I just watch it for a few minutes on really light hairyou’d have to watch it a lot closer and rinse it soonerbut since we have quite a bit of color in her hair i’m going to let it sit in a little bit longer and really soak in watch itas soon as it looks the right color you can rinse it out and wash itand condition it again we just finished with the balayage hair colorand we’re going to dry it out and all of these all of these highlights are going to pop right out i always blow-dry with my fingers first to make sure that I get most of the moisture out before I start to roundbrush I think it turned out pretty so this is our finished product really subtle sun kissed highlights and a really dramatic a line I hope you guys liked itmake sure you subscribe to my channel and tell your friends lets get some pictures of your hair.
